Principe Bar

The Principe Bar has been the gathering point for Milan's power set since the hotel opened in 1927. It has outlasted every trend by remaining essentially unchanged: dark wood panelling, deep leather chairs, impeccable service, and an understanding that a good bar is ultimately a theatre of conversation.

During fashion week in February and September, the bar becomes one of the most concentrated rooms in the industry: editors, designers, and photographers conducting the informal business of the collections over bottles of Franciacorta and the bar's famously proportioned Negroni.

The aperitivo hour, served with small plates of Milanese bar snacks, is among the most graceful in a city that takes aperitivo more seriously than almost anywhere else.
