Cielo sits at the very top of Hotel de la Ville — one floor up from the Spanish Steps, with a rooftop terrace that takes in the full sweep of the Roman roofscape. The kitchen serves Italian dishes with a light, contemporary touch, but the view is the reason to book. At sunset, the terrace becomes one of the great places to sit in Rome.

Reservations are difficult in high season, and the view tables go first. Book early and ask specifically for outdoor seating.
