Matsuhisa Val d'Isère

Matsuhisa Val d'Isère is one of Nobu's mountain outposts — a quieter, more intimate version of the brand, tucked into the Airelles hotel. The kitchen serves the full Nobu repertoire: black cod miso, yellowtail jalapeño, rock shrimp tempura, and a sushi counter worth sitting at.

It's an unusual combination, Nobu in the Alps, but it works. After a long ski day, a sashimi platter and a sake list this good is surprisingly correct.
