La Grande Ourse is the flagship dining room of Airelles Val d'Isère, a cavernous, beautifully lit chalet space with views up toward the Pisaillas glacier. The menu takes alpine ingredients, mountain cheese, smoked meats, winter vegetables, and elevates them without losing their character.
The cheese course is one of the best in the Alps, and the wine list goes particularly deep on Savoie and Burgundy. After a day on the Bellevarde face, it's exactly the right place to be.
